1.the general CNC machine tool

Generally, CNC machine tools are usually index-controlled lathes, CNC milling machines, CNC boring and milling machines, etc. Their following characteristics are very important for their automated manufacturing systems.

1) High flexibility.

2) High degree of automation.

3) High processing precision and stable quality.

4) High production efficiency.

5) 5, with tool life management function.

6) 6, with communication capabilities.

Modern CNC machine tools generally have a communication interface, which can realize communication between the upper computer and the CNC machine tool, and can also realize data communication between several CNC machine tools, and can also directly control several CNC machine tools. The communication function is a prerequisite for realizing DNC, FMC, and FMS.

2.the processing center (MC)

The basic structure of the machining center system is the same as that of the general CNC machine tool. Only on this basis, the tool magazine and the automatic tool change device are added to form a more complex, but more versatile and more efficient CNC machine tool.

The machining center machine tool has process concentration, which can effectively shorten the adjustment time and handling time, reduce the in-process inventory, and the high processing quality. Therefore, it is often used in parts with complicated processing, multi-process processing, and medium production production.

The machining center usually refers to the boring and milling machining center, which is mainly used to process the box and shell parts, and has a wide range of processes.

3.the turning center

Rotary cutters such as drills, milling cutters, reamers, taps, etc. can be mounted on the turning center of the turning center. They are driven by separate motors, also called self-driving tools. The machining of the workpiece with the self-driving tool on the turning center is divided into two cases: one is to fix the spindle after the indexing, and the workpiece is drilled, milled, tapped, etc.; the other is the spindle motion as a control axis. (C axis), the C axis motion and the X and Z axis motions are combined into a feed motion, that is, a three-coordinate linkage, and the milling cutter mills grooves, bosses, planes, and the like of various shapes on the surface of the workpiece.

4. EDM

1. Principles and characteristics of EDM

During processing, one pole of the pulse power source is connected to the tool electrode, and the other pole is connected to the workpiece electrode, and both poles are immersed in a liquid medium (commonly used kerosene or mineral oil or deionized water) having a certain degree of insulation.

2. Application of EDM

EDM is mainly used for the machining of the hole and cavity in the mold production. It has become the leading processing method in the mold manufacturing industry and promotes the technological progress of the mold industry.

(1) EDM processing.

(2) EDM wire cutting processing.

3. Development trend of EDM machine tools

EDM machines are also moving toward miniaturization of structures while improving accuracy and automation.
